The quickest way is Omni for Chrome or Omni for Firefox — our browser extension. It saves the page you are on, suggests tags, and keeps your library one keystroke away.

Without the extension, the form does the same from any browser. In a Slack workspace with Tefter installed, posting /tefter https://example.com saves it to the team's library.

Yes. Add Tefter to your home screen — here is how — and it behaves like an app, including the share sheet: sharing a page to Tefter opens the bookmark form with the address and title filled in.

Every major browser can export its bookmarks as an HTML file. Bring that file to the import page — the instructions there cover Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Each folder in the file becomes a tag, so the structure you had survives the move.

Most services can export your data; if theirs exports bookmarks as HTML, the import page above takes it as is. If you are stuck with an export we do not read yet, send a note to support@tefter.io — we have walked people through this before.

From your account's export page, any time. You can take your bookmarks and lists as files, an Obsidian vault of notes, or a JSONL file shaped for feeding an agent or a model. Your library is yours; there is no lock-in and no waiting period.

The search bar above your bookmarks matches against titles and your notes, ranked by relevance. On the Pro plan there is a second mode, Search (AI), which searches by meaning: ask for what a page was about, not the words in its title.

A shared library: bookmarks, tags and go/ aliases that belong to a group of people instead of one account. Most teams live where the team already talks — in Slack, through our Slack app — but a team works from the web on its own, too.

Sign in, head to your teams and click "New team". Choosing "Add to Slack" connects the team to your workspace — approve the installation and you are done. Installing makes you the team's admin; teammates join by posting /tefter login in the workspace.

There is also a message action: from any Slack message, choose "Bookmark links" to save the links it contains. The team guide covers all of it with screenshots.

Every new team starts with a free 28-day trial of everything. After that, the team's admin picks a plan — see the plans page for what each holds and costs.

A new account starts with a 14-day trial of everything. The free hobbyist plan holds a library of up to 10,000 bookmarks. Pro raises that to 100,000 and adds a snapshot of every page you save — kept even when the page is taken down — and search by meaning. The numbers and prices live on the plans page.

Any time, from the Membership section of your account. You can resume later if you change your mind — your library stays where you left it.

Other users see only the bookmarks and lists you have decided to share. We do not sell your data or give third parties access to it — it is not part of our business to do so. We, the administrators, may access data for maintenance; it is otherwise not in our interest to.

Even so: you are advised not to keep sensitive links here — links and notes which, were they ever to become public by accident or error, would cause damage to you or others.

From your account page: "Delete my account", at the bottom. It deletes the account and everything in it, and it cannot be undone — export your data first if you want to keep it.

Both. The desktop app puts Tefter in a window of its own — downloads for Linux, macOS and Windows at tefter/desktop.

For the shell there is tefter/cli, a terminal UI for searching your library, saving bookmarks and jumping through your go/ aliases without leaving it. It is a 2020-era app that still works against today's Tefter: see its README for current build and run notes — Docker is the easiest path.
